Accessibility

My Commitment

I want everyone who visits paddymccabe.com to feel welcome and be able to access the content easily.
This website is built and maintained by me, Paddy McCabe, and I aim to follow good accessibility practices wherever possible.

What I’m Doing

  • I design and develop the site with accessibility in mind from the start.
  • I use clean, semantic HTML and follow best practices for headings, labels, and alt text.
  • I test pages for keyboard navigation and screen reader compatibility.
  • I make sure text has sufficient contrast and that links are clear and descriptive.

Where the Site Could Improve

As this is a personal project that evolves over time, some areas may not yet fully meet accessibility standards, however I regularly review the site and update older content to improve accessibility when I can.

Accessibility Standards

This website aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines as far as reasonably possible for an independent personal website.

I test new pages using:

  • Browser-based accessibility tools
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Colour contrast checkers

Reporting Accessibility Issues

If you experience any difficulty accessing content on this site, please let me know.
You can contact me via the form on the Contact page or by emailing me at paddy@paddymccabe.com.

I take all feedback seriously and will do my best to address any accessibility issues promptly.

Ongoing Effort

Accessibility is not a one-time project — it’s an ongoing commitment.
As I continue to update and refine this website, I’ll keep improving accessibility wherever possible.
